outhful success is as sweet in the corporate world as it is in the arts, and likely to be far more lucrative. The big difference is the cut-off age. Artists aren't celebrated unless they achieve recognition before their twenties are out. Executives are considered golden if they reach the top ranks of major corporations while in their early forties. The business world demands a track record before it's willing to bestow the level of trust implicit in a high executive rank.
Early success sets the world clamoring for its secrets. The Asian Americans introduced in here know there are no secrets. But they do share some attributes in common. The most important seems to be the willingness to commit to a firm career goal, then to work harder than everyone else in the company. There's nothing magical about the formula and it isn't likely to find many takers.
